A global environmental science company specializing in pest management and agricultural solutions, faced significant challenges in managing equipment requests and multi-level approvals due to unstructured, manual processes and lack of workflow standardization.
- Commercial and technical validations were inconsistent and not standardized had a risk of errors & compliance gaps
- Heavy reliance on manual follow-ups led to delays in approvals and processing
- Limited visibility into end-to-end request lifecycle created inefficiencies in coordination and decision-making
- No centralized system to manage equipment requests
Approach:
- Developed a centralized request form in Power Apps
- Implemented a two-level approval workflow (Commercial & Technical)
- Automated email notifications with deep linking using Power Automate
- Created role-based access control for Requestor and Approvers
- Enabled rejection and re-evaluation loop for correction management
- Built a left-side gallery dashboard categorized into:
- Pending
- Approved
- Rejected
- All Request
- Stored all request data and approval comments in a centralized database (Dataverse)
